February 14, Saint Valentine’s day, brings a lot of love, romance, and excitement especially for lovers and married couples. In the Apostolic Vicariate of Benghazi, the day is rendered more special because it is the birthday of our beloved Bishop Sylvester Magro OFM. Last Friday, he celebrated his 73rd birthday. The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Eucharist and the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation. There were seven Filipinos  who were confirmed by Bishop Sylvester.The celebration was fully attended by the Religious Sisters and communities of different nationalities. After the morning Mass, Consular Services were offered by the Philippines embassy. All of these made our church full and our day filled with love, service and thanksgiving (Friar Alan Castillo OFM).
