Sr. Rose Therese Ellis OSC has been re-elected Mother Abbess of the Poor Clares Community in San Giljan, Malta. The Election was presided by the Archbishop of Malta, Mgr Pawl Cremona OP and assisted by the Minister Provincial Fr. Sandro Overend OFM and by the Vicar Provincial, Fr. Richard Stanley Grech, OFM. We are united in prayers for the newly elected administration, the Mother Abbess, the Vicar and the Councillors of the  " Holy Child Jesus King" Monastery, we wish our Poor Clares every blessing, peace and joy in St. Clare and St. Francis.

Saturday July 10, five days into the Chapter and half way through it, the friars of the chapter elect the Custodial Vicar and the friars who will compose the Discretorium of the Custody. Fr. Artemio Vitores ofm was reelected Custodial Vicar. He was first elected Custodial Vicar in the Chapter of 2004. This year Fr. Artemio is celebrating his 40th year in the Holy Land. (more…)

Today marks the 25th Anniversary of three friars:  Fr. Paul Attard, Twanny Chircop, and Fr. Joe Bonello who is working in the Honduras Mission. We would like to congratulate Fr. Twanny, Fr. Paul, and Fr. Joe and wish them all a heartfelt AD MULTOS ANNOS.

On the 7th of July Fr Twanny Chircop together with Fr Paul Attard and Fr. Joe Bonello will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary of their priesthood.  Fr Paul is currently residing at our Ħamrun Convent and is presently responsible for the Appostoatus Maris. Fr Paul will be celebrating his thanksgiving mass on the 29th of June at our Convent in Rabat, whereas, Fr Twanny is currently residing at the Valletta Convent and is presently the Commissariat of the Holy Land.  He will be celebrating his thanksgiving Mass on the 7th of July at the Chapel of the Poor Clares in Regional Road, St. Julians. The Province would like to congratulate Fr. Twanny, Fr. Paul and Fr. Joe and wish them both a heartfelt AD MULTOS ANNOS.
