Fr. Giacomo Bini meets the Franciscan Family

bini06.jpgOn Friday 16 June, the male and female members of the Franciscan family had the opportunity to meet at the Poor Clares Monastery in St. Julians to listen to a talk given by Fr. Giacomo Bini OFM, Minister General of the Franciscan Order from 1997 to 2003.

There were around 500 persons who flocked to the monastery of the Poor Clares. The talk was given in the open and there were not even enough chairs to accomodate everybody. The three Ministers Provincials of the Franciscan Order introduced the meeting. Fr. Giacomo then delivered his talk on Christ’s call to every individual to follow him along the way of the Gospel. At the end of the talk he answered questions from the audience. The Poor Clares then offered a drink to all those present.
