Our Novices are back in Malta

joswalter.jpgOn 5 September, exactly one year after they entered the Franciscan Order as Novices, Brothers Joseph Ciappara and Walter Vassallo have arrivedi in Malta from Rome. During this year they lived in the Novitiate house of San Damiano in Assisi. At the airport they were welcomed by the Franciscan Fraternity of Rabat, where they had lived as postulants, and where they will now be continuing to live as temporary professed Franciscans. Together with the friars there were members of their families and friends to welcome them.

After they arrived they joined the fraternity in Rabat. In the evening a welcome party was organized by the fraternity together with the relatives of Joseph and Walter. After a short period of holidays the two Franciscan brothers will begin to prepare for temporary profession, which will be held on 6 October.

On 3 September Joseph and Walter took part in the celebration of temporary profession of the other ten novices with whom they shared this year of Franciscan experiences in Assisi.
