The Franciscan province of St. Paul the Apostle is in the final phase of preparations for the Chapter of Mats that is going to be held from the 7th to the 9th January 2007 at the Porziuncola Retreat House.

All the Commissions involved are in the meantime preparing for this event, which will see all the friars meeting for this Spiritual Chapter. The liturgy commission is preparing the booklet for the prayers, and also the logistic commission is making all the necessary preparations.

The main speaker for this Chapter will be Fr. Giacomo Bini OFM. Fr. Giacomo, who is the former Minister General of the Franciscan Order (1997-2003), has been in Malta delivering talks to the friars for a couple of times now. The main theme for this chapter will centre upon the importance of living the Gospel, to help us build our house, and therefore our identity. The theme will be a continuation to the Extraordinary General Chapter that the Order has organised last October.
