The Minister Provincial has returned from Montreal in Canada where he attended the Autumn Meeting of the OFM English Speaking Conference of Minister Provincials. Besides the US Franciscan Provinces, present for the meeting were also the OFM Lithuanian Province Minister Provincial, the Irish OFM Province Minister Provincial, who is also the President of the ESC Conference, and the British OFM Minister Provincial.
The sixteen active members, including Malta, discussed several issues of the Provinces and the Order. The meetings took place at the Resurrection Franciscan Friary in Montreal. A visit to the Oratory and Sanctuary dedicated to St. Joseph in Montreal was also organised, taking the opportunity to visit Frere Andre’ s tomb who will be canonised by Pope Benedeict XVI, this Sunday, 17th October.
