On Sunday 17th October Fr Joseph Ciappara together with other six youth was ordained deacon by Mgr. Paul Cremona OP, Archbishop of Malta.  The Solemn Mass started at 6:00pm at the Mdina Cathedral.
The rite of the ordination as deacon was performed by the bishop, by the laying of his hands on Fr Joseph, giving the investiture to the New Deacon, and the Giving of the Bible.  The whole Province joins in Congratulating Fr Joseph on this new step towards the priesthood.
