The Provincial Chapter got underway this morning at about 9.30pm with a collective moment of prayer; after which the Provincial Minister, Fr Sandro  Overend, introduced this week with a welcoming note to all the Friars. He then delivered his report which included an overall view of what took place during these last three years; and went on to divulge the role of the Province in the world of today which includes what the present time is revealing in many circumstances.

At the beginning of his address, he referred to a phone call which he had from our Novices in Assisi promising their prayers during the time of the Chapter and for the outcomes which the Spirit of Francis, will help all chapter members to achieve.

The Provincial Minister stressed the importance of prayer both personally and within the fraternity. He also emphasised that important actions are bound to take place in the near future. 

After his introduction a brief break was taken.

After the break, Fr Richard S. Grech, responsible for the Financial Administration of the whole Province, gave his input.
