On the 5th September 2011, three novices from our OFM Province, Fr. Clive Camilleri, Fr. Ramon Farrugia and Fr. Andrea Diacono, completing their year of Novitiate in San Damiano Assisi, made their first Profession in our Franciscan Parish. Tas-Sliema.

Fr. Aaron Abdilla, who is studying at the Antonianum University and forms part of the Formation House of the Immaculate Conception Franciscan Province (USA) situated in Rome, has also renewed his vows during the celebration. After the Con-celebration, Mr. Gerald Xuereb received the Franciscan habit from the Minister Provincial and he will begin his Novitiate at San Damiano in Assisi. The Master of Novices, Fr. Massimo Reschiglian OFM, from the Umbria Seraphic Province in Assisi, was also present for the celebration.

Many of their friends came over to Malta from Italy to participate at the celebration. The event was a “celebration of hope” as defined by some of the participants present at the ceremony. We augur all the candidates happiness and blessings.
