While on a short visit to Malta to visit family and friends Fr. Charles Michael Grech ofm the Maltese Chaplain in London, reciprocated a courtesy call to H.E. Dr. George Abela President of Malta on the 14th of January 2013. During the meeting, H.E. Dr. George Abela was keen to know more about the Mission of the Franciscan Friars in London that is besides caring for the sick patients, spiritually and socially in various hospitals in and around London sent by the Maltese Government, we cater for the Maltese Franciscan Nuns who besides celebrating the Holy Eucharist both in the mornings and evenings, we make it a point to see the relatives accompanying. H.E. Dr. George Abela had words of praise and thanked the Maltese Franciscan Province in Malta for the service rendered throughout the past sixty years. While sending his regards to Fr. Stephen Magro ofm who is part of the fraternity, H.E. Dr. George Abela expressed the wish to come and visit us again in London.
