Day of recollection for all the Friars

On the 14th May, a day of recollection was organised for all the friars in our Retreat House in Baħar iċ-Ċagħak. The Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Malta, the Rt. Rev. Charles J. Scicluna, was invited to offer the Reflection in virtue of the coming Provincial Chapter 2014. The Bishop, while showing a true appreciation of the work done by the Friars in the Maltese Archdiocese, stressed on the importance of our Franciscan Spirituality as a living witness of Christ in the modern society.

Being ourselves, as Franciscan Friars, with our proper Charism can help the real “poor” of modern society. The Fraternity in prayer and sacrifice can be inspiring to all those who thirst for Christ and also encourage those who will be future candidates for the Franciscan life.

The Bishop with the Friars then had lunch together.
