On Sunday 15th September Friars Clive Camilleri and Ramon Farrugia were given the Ministry of Lector by our Minister Provincial Fr. Sandro Overend, during a eucharistic celebration held at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Bahar ic-Caghaq. Mgr. Joe Bonello OFM, Bishop of Juticalpa, Olancho in Honduras was also present and assisted the celebration.

The mass which was well attended by their families and friends was animated by the Porziuncola Choir of Bahar ic-Caghaq and to symbolize the friendship between St. Francis and St. Dominic, and the respective orders they founded (OFM and OP) the Dominican friars in formation were invited to serve mass.

During his homily, Fr. Sandro explained the duties and the responsabilities of the Ministry of Lector, and emphasised mostly on the importance of not just proclaiming the word, but of living it, and of allowing it to change each and everyone of us into better christians.

As Friars Clive and Ramon head back to Rome to start their 1st year of Theology, let us continue to accompany them with our prayers.
