Fr. Marcellino Micallef, spiritual Director of the Mission Fund is once again going to Guatemala to help in a project there.  In the last 16 years the Mission fund helped to construct different projects in Africa, Central America and South America with the help of the Maltese people.

This is going to be the fourth time that the Mission Fund is going to help with the ‘Progett Tama’.  In these four years the work consisted in constructing houses, convents for the sisters, a rehabilitation center for persons with special needs, a parish center and many others.

It is good to note that the Maltese Franciscans worked in this place for more than 50 years.  Today only two priests serve in the country.
The group of missionary helpers will leave Malta on the 23rd July and will return on the 27th August.
