The two Franciscan Youth Groups of Rabat and Hamrun spent the summer preparing for various activities. The GIFRA of Rabat spent the whole summer preparing for a youth festival which was celebrated in mid-September and which helped the young people to express their talents and share them with the community they live in and also with persons with special needs.

On the other hand the GIFRA in Hamrun prepared to go on voluntary work in Tunis and Ethiopia, helping the Sisters of Mother Theresa. They were also engaged in a summer school which was held at out Franciscan Centre in Hamrun, where about 40 young people attended. The Summer school consisted in drama, playing, religious lectures and other activities.
