On Sunday 30th September, the Franciscan Province commemorated two newly canonized Saints: Simone of Lipnica and Antonio Galvao. The celebration was held in the evening. The friars gathered at St. Mary of Jesus Church in Valletta to pray Vespers, which were presided over by Mgr. Charles Cordina, who had the occasion to deliver a short message which focused on the need that, in today’s world, the Franciscan has to be a saint in the middle of so many contradictions that we are living in.
It was also an occasion where the Postulant Aaron Abdilla began his second year as Postulant. After the Prayers all the friars gathered in the friary for a reception.
