From Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 November all the Franciscan friars were invited, according to three age-groups, to take part in a Seminar in preparation for the Provincial Chapter 2008. The Seminar was held at the Porziuncola Retreat House in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.

The coordinator of the three days’ meetings was Fr. Fabio Attard SDB. He made use of 2 video clips, then moved to discuss the theme of ‘Koinonia’ in relation to what Frère Roger, founder of Taizè, wrote in his last letters. At the end of the meeting the friars examined the pros and cons of the Province and afterwards they were invited to write down the positive issues of our Franciscan life and those issues upon which they would like to work more in the future.

During lunch the Minister Provincial in a letter announced the official dates of the Provincial Chapter, which will be celebrated from the 12 to the 16 May 2008. He also wrote the commitments given to some friars regarding the work during the Chapter, and regarding the technicalities of the second straw ballot for the election of the new Minister Provincial and his Definitorium (Council).
