During these days Mgr. Sylvester Magro OFM, Maltese Franciscan Bishop in Benghazi, together with various Bishops from North Africa, together with there respective general vicars, are arriving in Malta for a four day Conference.

The Bishops who are from Libya, Tunisia, Algiers, Morocco and Mauritania will discuss the situation of the Church of their respective diocese in the current situation. Normally the meeting is held in their respective countries by turn, but when it is the turn of the bishops of Libya to host the Conference, they invite their colleagues in Malta, because of lack of accommodation in Libya.

The Conference will be held in Malta at the Franciscan Retreat House in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.
