During the summer holidays various friars give pastoral service abroad. Fr. Albert Micallef gives his service as a confessor in the Lateran Basilica, together with the Franciscan Penitentiaries. Fr. Alex Borg also offers his service as a confessor at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels (Porziuncola) in Assisi together with other friars.  The main work is the sacrament of reconciliation, in order to help with the influx of pilgramages in these holy places.
