Feast to the Epiphany at the Poor Clares Monastery

Feast to the Epiphany at the Poor Cares MonasteryOn Tuesday 6 January the Franciscan Province was invited to the feast of the Epiphany at the Poor Clares Monastery in St. Julian’s. At 6pm the Minister Provincial celebrated the Mass of the feast, during which he stressed that Epiphany is a gift which is Christ, and also remarked that this is a special year because of the 800 years since the approval of the Franciscan Rule.  He also spoke about the unity between Francis and Clare which reflects the unity between the friars and the Poor Clares.

At the end of the Mass the Abbess, Sr. Rose Therese Ellis OSC also delivered a small speech in which told the friars that this occasion is an opportunity where the poor Clares celebrate this feast together with the friars. After the Mass a reception was held to celebrate this occasion.
