The day started with the usual time for personal prayer. Then the roll call was held and was followed by the reading of yesterday’s minutes. These were read and approved. The Provincial Chapter got underway this morning at about 9.30pm with a collective moment of prayer; after which the Provincial Minister, Fr Sandro  Overend, introduced this week with a welcoming note to all the Friars. He then delivered his report which included an overall view of what took place during these last three years; and went on to divulge the role of the Province in the world of today which includes what the present time is revealing in many circumstances. Fr. Mark Ciantar OFM has just returned from the third Seminar on new forms of OFM evangelization in Europe which took place from 2nd to 6th May, at Sassone Ciampino-Rome.  Around 40 friars took part, including 3 Ministers Provincial; the friars came from Italy, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania and Malta.
