SkondSanGwann(according to St.John) is the play which SKENE will be presenting at Metanoia Theatre (Luqa) for this year's Holy Week. It is written by the late Fr. John Abela ofm and will be staged on Saturday 16th, Sunday 17th and Wednesday 20th April 2011 at 7.30pm.

SkondSanGwann is a play which does not follow the traditional lines of a passion play completely. The play aims at making us "stop and think", "stop and remember", "stop and be there". We might call it an act of faith even if faith does not need to be the dominant key! (more…)

This morning the 19th of March, Mgr. Sylvester Magro sent an audio message for the occasion of the feast of St. Joseph which is being celebrated in Rabat.  In his message, Mgr. Sylvester Bishop of Benghazi, who even as a child never failed to celebrate this feast in Rabat, invites the community to unite in prayer on this day which has always been dear to his heart. This year because of the recent unrest in Libya, he will not, as he has always done, return to Malta for the occasion. Mgr. During his stay in Gozo, we took the opportunity to interview Mgr. Joe Bonello about his becoming the New Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Juticalpa, Olancho in Honduras.  The interview covers three main points; being: 1.    Who is Mgr. Joe Bonello? 2.    His new Mission, and 3.    The Maltese people vis-a-vis the call to work on the missions. He concluded the interview thanking the Maltese Authorities – both civil and religious – and the Maltese people in general for their support to Maltese Missionaries. (more…)
