(Adds Audio) In actual fact Gozo is the home land of the new Bishop Mgr. Joe Bonello OFM.  During his stay in Gozo, various activities took place.  One of these various activities took place at the Gozo Cathedral on Saturday evening where Mgr. Bonello celebrated the Eucharist together with the Bishop for Gozo Mgr. Mario Grech, and the Apostolic Nuncio Tomaso Caputo. The second activity took place on Sunday morning at his native home town Xagħra. On his arrival at Xagħra, he was welcomed by the local band club which led the way to the Parish Church.  He was greeted by the Parish Chapter, and the Mayor of Xagħra after which a Pontifical Mass was celebrated. News have reached us about Mgr. Sylvester Magro OFM, Bishop of Benghazi, that although the situation has reached a certain amount of normality in Benghazi, it remains very sensitive. Mgr. Sylvester is serene and is staying with a religious community. Mgr. Sylvester is the pastor of a community of mainly Philippines and states that being a pastor and spiritually responsible for the well-being of these people; he feels that it is his duty to continue his mission with this community. These last few days, he has been able to re-open the church and celebrate the Eucharist, in a very cautious way. The Maltese province is responsible for the mission in Libya. More
